Photoshop for Entrepreneurs: Project 1 Quote

Course Critique

Today I completed the first project in Udemy’s Photoshop for Entrepreneurs 14 Projects course.

The first project is how to create an inspirational quote for social media.

While I had a few multimedia classes in high school, all I remember from that class is looking up cars from Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and talking on MSN (wow).

Im as good at Photoshop skills as my mum is discerning scam ads from real ones (she thinks she wins competitions on one regularly) so I decided to try this photoshop course out.

My goal is to be able to do the basics on photoshop. Edit a photo, whip up a product idea, plan out a website and create a logo.

The Inspirational Quote project was a good introduction. I probably could of created something similar in paint, but I’m pretty happy with the results.

This project introduced me to following:

  • How to create a new project, what settings to pick ect
  • How to insert an image
  • How to lock layers
  • How to write and edit basic text
  • Introduction to the rule of thirds
  • How to save a project to work on later and for web upload

Super basic stuff, I know. But I didn’t to learn it and was a pretty quick and enjoyable project.

Do I see myself making more inspirational quotes? Probably not. Do I see myself making troll un-inspirational quotes and memes? Fuck yes 🙌
