About two weeks have passed since I last completed a project from: Photoshop for Entrepreneurs – Design 11 Practical Projects
Today I took on Section 2: Project 2 – Create a YouTube Thumbnail. The exercise was only 18 minutes long and once I had completed the example Strawberry excerise, I thought to myself “I could’ve just done this in paint?”. But then when I attempted my own Thumbnail, it was more difficult. Difficult to do anything more than simply add text onto a image.
Overview of the Section
This section basically covered.
- 1How to start a project?
- Key points here were to create something that was 1920 x 1080 so that the image is HD.
1. How to start a project
2. Where to get an image
3. Add/Edit Text
4. Save
Conclusion
I hear that Thumbnail creation is really important for YouTube videos click-through. I was excited to give this project a go. Sometimes basic is good, this time I felt like this course was way too basic. I could’ve made this in paint. It would’ve been good to have been taught some more complex tools and design concepts.
Rating 5/10 – It’s okay
